DAVID CRAGGS - MRI BLACKLISTS MEETING (18 NOV 2018)

The first meeting of blacklisted workers took place yesterday in Manchester bringing harrowing accounts from those affected. These were all too similar to those on the Consulting Association blacklist:
  • Disputes over none payment of wages, 
  • Being involved in trade union collections for blacklisted workers,
  • Being asked to work in unsafe conditions, 
  • Skilled tradesmen on long term unemployment benefit and,
  • Being singled out and refused work.
One worker had not even worked on the MRI or Beetham Tower projects and had only worked for Craggs on loan to Haden Young (a Balfour Beatty subsidiary and Consulting Association member) some years previous.

The most disturbing account for me was that Craggs would openly threaten workers to their face with inclusion on his blacklists.

The question of why Unite's Regional Secretary, Ritchie James is threatening me with legal action unless I remove Mr Craggs's name from my website remains unanswered.  

Bent union officials. Buried the evidence back in 2006. Still covering up the cover up.

DAVID CRAGGS - THE MRI BLACKLISTS

Dave Craggs worked as a labour supervisor for Haden Young Limited, a mechanical and electrical (M&E) subsidiary of Balfour Beatty for fifteen years until 2005. He was based in the North West region. Haden Young were the source of my original 2005 blacklisting evidence ( the Haden Young blacklist checking sheets ) .  In 2005, Mr Craggs left Haden Young to work for another national M&E contractor, Rotary, as their Labour Manager on the Manchester R oyal I nfirmary (MRI) major project. He held this position until 2008 (source Mr Craggs's LinkedIn profile). The MRI project had a contract value of around £450 million and the M&E element of the works had been divided between two national M&E contractors , Rotary and Balfour Kilpatrick Limited (another M&E subsidiary of Balfour Beatty).
